Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-09-02. iResolved, LLC.
These terms apply when you use a chained.tools product: binaries, hosted services, APIs, and accounts. Browsing the marketing site is the Terms of Use.
1. The parties
These Terms of Service are between you and iResolved, LLC. “Products” means rusty, pyppi, gbrowse, agentpass, and any other software or hosted service we publish under chained.tools. If you are using a product for an organization, you represent that you can bind that organization.
Visiting chained.tools without an account is covered by the Terms of Use.
2. What you get
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the products as we ship them: for evaluation, for your own building, or under a commercial arrangement we actually signed. Source-available trees may carry a separate license file. Where a dual-class license applies (source-available versus authenticated commercial builds), the license in the tree and any EULA we issue control those bits. These terms fill the gaps they leave.
We do not promise feature parity with Cargo, pip, Chrome, or 1Password. Product pages state what exists, including what is still early.
3. Accounts and access
You are responsible for credentials issued to you, including solved.gg / clerk-zig sessions used by rusty and sibling toolchains. Do not share live tokens. We may suspend access for abuse, unpaid commercial obligations, or a security incident.
4. Acceptable use
You will not:
- Use a product to break the law
- Probe, overload, or circumvent hosted services except as part of a coordinated security report
- Resell, wrap, or rebrand a product as your own without a written deal
- Feed other people’s secrets into an agent or a model using our software in a way that ignores the product’s grant model (especially agentpass)
- Remove copyright, license, or attribution notices from source we publish
5. Your content and secrets
Code, lockfiles, browser sessions, and secrets you put through a product stay yours. We do not claim them. Hosted features may process that material solely to provide the feature. agentpass is built so an agent can act without receiving the secret; you still decide what grants to issue. You are responsible for what your agents do with those grants.
If we process personal data for you as a processor, the DPA applies.
6. Software is as-is
Products are provided as is, without warranties of merchantability, fitness, or non-infringement. Nightly builds can break. Native subsets can refuse a Cargo or pip surface they do not support. We are not liable for lost work, lost secrets, or a build that did not match cargo. Some places do not allow these limits; there, they apply to the maximum the law allows.
To the extent liability cannot be excluded, iResolved, LLC’s total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the product in the three months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars if you paid nothing.
7. Open and source-available trees
Public or source-available repositories are not a promise of OSI open source. rusty and sibling toolchains may use iResolved’s dual-class model. Read the license in the tree. Contributions, when we accept them, may require a CLA.
8. Product notes
- rusty: Linux, WSL2, and macOS Apple Silicon. Intel Mac and native Windows are unsupported.
- pyppi: Python toolchain in Zig, early. No pip-parity claim.
- gbrowse: local graphical surface, remote remainder. No public binary on this site yet.
- agentpass: the agent gets a grant, not a decrypted secret in model context. You remain responsible for grant policy.
9. Termination
You may stop using a product at any time. We may stop offering a hosted feature or a channel. Sections on liability, license restrictions, and governing law survive.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of formation of iResolved, LLC. Exclusive jurisdiction in those courts, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
